Robness is the highest grossing artist on the Rarible platform and the visionary behind the Trash Art movement. He has created the “I AM JEFF” NFT for JEFF Group holders. There are 100 copies of the piece to be airdropped to the first 100 members of JEFF Group. Currently, there are 49 members (including myself) so there is still time to lock in your claim.
Addresses that have paid 40 JEFF to the purgatory address have automatically locked in their “I AM JEFF” claim. No account creation or further action is necessary. Immediately, this is an awesome piece of art that you can incorporate into VR worlds like Decentraland and Cryptovoxels. As you are the owner of your NFT, you are also free to list it on Rarible for resale.
But you may not want to do that: for this NFT also represents a status symbol as an original supporter of JEFF. Nothing is certain as to what that means, but it could translate into further perks and airdrops reserved exclusively for addresses holding this piece of art. When we are sucked up into VR universes five or ten years down the line, this piece could be your ticket-of-entry to the exclusive JEFF VIP Club.
Signalling Partnership
This NFT represents the first in a long line of strategic collaborations between the JEFF community and other players in the space. For JEFF, this is added value to holders (and in this case, more specifically group members). For Robness, he gets exposure to our active community, 300 strong, and my broader Twitter audience. Robness has already noticed an uptick in sales since the collaboration was teased last night.
As the JEFF Ecosystem grows, there will be further value for third party projects to incentivize JEFF Group members and token holders. As the group grows, third parties should also expect to pay JEFF fees for advertising. As you know- 50% of that will be burned.
